| I had a few hours during a stop-over in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on my way from Delhi to Istanbul. As the plane came in I was amazed at the houses, more like estates, that I could see. Huge sprawling mansions, with driveways that could me mistaken for roads, tennis courts, pools and acres and acres of fenced in forest. There were gorgeous beaches and luxury apartments and expensive cars everywhere. Oil, oil, oil! I had enough time to see the Burj Al Arab, the world's tallest hotel and then back to the airport. |

| The Burj Al Arab, scrapes the sky at 321 metres, the tallest hotel in the world. They offer a private drive-in chauffeur services, check-in on every floor, in suite internet and laptop usage, round-the-clock personal butlers. They don't post their prices on their website. Probably, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. |
